Castle Wall Productions Will Kick Off the New Year At Tartan Day

April 06, 2010 – Since November Castle Wall has been gearing up for this event. Each weekend the members of Castle Wall Production can be seen at Mission Veijo Park practicing for the upcoming season's performances. Now they are here and can be seen at Colorado Tartan Day 2010! Colorado Tartan Day is held in Olde Town Arvada with events from 9AM to 4PM on April 10th. Food, Music, Entertainers, and Live-Steel Swordfighting are just some of the attractions Tartan Day holds. The Behind-The-Scenes Live-Steel as well as a myriad of street scenes will be performed by Castle Wall for all the patrons. We hope to see you there!.

March 10, 2010 – In an age where the environment takes a backseat to personal luxuries, Castle Wall Productions has decided to make a conscious effort to 'Go Green'. Castle Wall has traditionally relied on printed forms and calendars to update its members of the current events and upcoming shows and news that pertains to them. Embracing the digital age, an initiative has started that has transitioned much of the printed forms to their website, www.castlewallproductions.com, and reduced the amount of paper consumed by the company.

Theatrical Combat Troupe Holds Open Auditions at Rockrest Lounge

January 16, 2010 – On a Sunday afternoon at Mission Veijo Park a passerby will see a group of people wielding swords, shields, and daggers. Practice is in full swing for the 2010 season for Castle Wall Productions and the sound of battle is in the air. And the best part? They’re recruiting.

The Rockrest Lodge in Golden will be hosting the auditions on March 1st and 2nd between 6:00PM and 9:00 PM. Actors, ages 17 and up, will be asked to recite a monologue of their choosing that would reflect a character from the Robin Hood story they wish to portray. Spectators, as well as performers are more than welcome.

Each week Castle Wall can be seen at Mission Viejo Park in Aurora practicing for their performance of their Robin Hood Story and Fantasy shows that take place at Renaissance Festivals and similar events throughout the spring and summer. The troupe teaches each member how to fight with steel weapons, perform stunts and act. “What Castle Wall does is similar to what you see in Hollywood movies as far as stunts, fighting, and acting. Castle Wall Productions focuses heavily on safety and we strive to bring quality entertainment to our audiences”, said Eric Medved, the President of Castle Wall Productions.

New Members joining Castle Wall are asked to pay a one-time fee of $150.00; refunding half of the enrollment fee once the member fulfills a one-year commitment. The fees go towards costumes, weapons repair, and props.

The troupe has many shows around the Front Range, such as the Colorado Medieval Festival, Highland’s Ranch Scottish Festival, Opus and others as far as Iowa and eastern Kansas. Vice President of Castle Wall Patrick “Badger” Carpio said, “This is what we do and we love to do it. [We] hope to see you this next year.”

CASTLE WALL PRODUCTIONS ANNOUNCES OPEN AUDITIONS FOR 2009-2010 SEASON
Theatrical Combat Troupe Holding Auditions at the Rockrest Lounge

Golden, CO November 19, 2009 – Time to polish off that monologue that has been saved for a rainy day; Castle Wall Productions will be holding auditions for their yearly re-enactments of the Robin Hood story at Renaissance fairs around the country.

The Rockrest Lodge in Golden will be hosting the auditions from November 30th to December 2nd any time between 6:00PM and 9:00 PM. Spectators, as well as performers are more than welcome. Actors, ages 17 and up, will be asked to recite a monologue of their choosing that would reflect a character from the Robin Hood story they wish to portray. Guests are welcome to attend

Castle Wall is made up of both trained thespians and amateur performers alike. Training includes theatrical combat using steel weapons, acting techniques, and if desired cloth, leather, and metalworking for costumes.

A one-time fee of $150 is required for all new members and half will be returned after fulfilling a one year commitment. The fees go towards maintenance on the costumes and weapons that are used through the course of the year.

The group has been active in the Denver area for over Nine years and does performances at Colorado Medieval Festival, Opus, the Elizabeth Renaissance Festival, Highlands Ranch Scottish Festival, and was recently featured on the show Disaster House airing on the DIY Network.
